Banaue
Nestled within the rugged Cordillera ranges in Central Philippines, the rice terraces
reach up to heights of 1,500 meters. Aside from the awesome spectacle, Banaue has
other attractions. One of these and perhaps the most important is the opportunity
to meet the Ifugaos and get a glimpse of their culture which has survived the incursions
of colonozers, Christian missionaries and lowland Filipinos. Traveling time is approximately eight
(8) hours by car from Manila.
Bohol

An oval-shaped island southeast of Manila. Bohol has a unique attraction called the Chocolate Hills-
uniformly shaped hills about 30-50 meters in height, which resemble chocolate bonbons
during the dry season. Bohol is noted for its centuries-old churches, baskets, hand-crafted
knives and Panglao Island, one of the Philippines’ dive spots. Many of its visitors have
discovered its white sandy beaches and the clear waters which offer excellent view.
Bohol is also known for its mini-forests where the smallest and oldest known primate,
the tarsier, can be found. Flying time is approximately one (1) hour and fifteen minutes.
Boracay

Long stretches of powdery white sand, crystal clear waters and casual, carefree lifestyle
combined to make Boracay the most famous island in the Philippines. A wide range of resorts are
available, all of which offer a warm welcome. Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific and Air
Philippines fly to Kalibo daily. Flying time is 55 minutes plus an hour and a half bus ride
to Caticlan port, and 20 minutes boatride to Boracay Island. Asian Spirit and Seair fly to Caticlan daily, then a 5-minute pedicab to the port and 20 minutes boatride to the island.
Cebu
The province 562 kilometers south of Manila is the international gateway to the Visayas region.
Its capital, Cebu City, is known as the "Queen of the South," and is famous for mangoes,
guitars, and resorts. Accommodations vary widely from first class and deluxe hotels and
resorts to inns and pension houses. Flying time is approximately one (1) hour and ten minutes.
Domestic airlines that fly to Cebu from Manila are Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and Air Philippines.
Palawan
Palawan province, consisting of a main island with many small islands around it, has been called the “Philippines’ last frontier” for it still has a few unspoiled spots. Uninhabited islets with
white coral sand beaches, clear waters teeming with fish, native tribes, forests with unique
flora and fauna make Palawan attractive to people fleeing civilization. Thanks to small resorts
accessible only by small aircraft or by boat, Palawan is able to preserve its pristine nature.
Flying time is approximately one (1) hour and ten minutes. Philippine Airlines, Air Philippines,
and Cebu Pacific fly daily to Puerto Princesa City.
Puerto Galera
A few hours away by bus and ferry boat is Puerto Galera, a small village by the sea whose surrounding
waters have been declared a marina sanctuary by the government. Apart from its beautiful harbor
and the wealth of its underwater gardens, equally attractive are its forests and an opportunity
to visit their native villages. Traveling time is approximately five (5) hours by bus and boat from Manila.
